Kahraman Halisçelik

Kahraman Halisçelik, the member of United Nations Correspondent Association, graduated from the University of Ankara School of Communications in 1997. Soon after graduating, he moved to New York City, where he worked as a New York correspondent for mainstream Turkish media companies. Throughout years, Haliscelik covered US presidential elections, September 11 terrorist attacks from Ground Zero, as well as the events at the UN headquarters such as the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. From 2009 to 2017, he worked as a TRT New York correspondent. Haliscelik was appointed as the Press Advisor to Turkey’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Mevlut Cavusoglu, in 2017. Mr Haliscelik worked as Press Secretary at the Organization of Turkic States from 2019 to end of 2023. Mr Haliscelik currently serves as President of Istanbul based Our World Foundation; an NGO that works towards combating the effects of climate change and achieving zero carbon footprint, as well as cleaner and more sustainable planet.
